The Rookie Wiki

Simone Clark is a main character on The Rookie: Feds and an occasional character in The Rookie. She is the daughter of Christopher Clark. She is played by Niecy Nash.

Biography[]

Clark was born and raised in Los Angeles, but was a guidance counselor at a high school in Washington, DC for 20 years:

"Claybourne High School in D.C. I was a guidance counselor there for 20 years. Taught Driver's Ed for eight of 'em, till they realized I was using the time to teach myself and my students advanced driving techniques. I also coached the wrestling team 'cause I wanted to perfect my hand-to-hand fighting style so I could pursue my dream of becoming an FBI Agent." (The Rookie, season 4, episode 19, "Simone")

Clark was planning to join the FBI when she was younger, but then found herself pregnant with twins. Now that the twins are in college, she is pursuing her dream of becoming an FBI agent, in spite of the fact that at 48 she is the oldest "rookie" at the FBI Academy, with Clark bonding with John Nolan, who himself was once the oldest "rookie" in the Los Angeles Police Department.

Her father, Christopher, was incarcerated for most of Simone's childhood, leaving Simone and her mother by themselves.

Upon arriving at the Los Angeles Field Office of the FBI, Simone was originally assigned to the Background Check Unit, but after assisting FBI Supervisory Special Agent Matthew Garza on a case, she later joined Garza's Special Investigative Unit, becoming a member of the team with FBI Special Agent Carter Hope also becoming her training agent.

Trivia[]
