Richard Timothy Jones (born January 16, 1972) is an American actor one of the main actors of The Rookie, portraying the role of Wade Grey.

Biography Edit

Early life Edit

Jones was born in Kobe, Japan, to American parents. He grew up in Carson, California. He is the son of Lorene, a computer analyst, and Clarence Jones, a professional baseball player and hitting instructor for the Cleveland Indians. He has an older brother, Clarence Jones Jr., who works as a coach. His parents later divorced. Jones is a graduate of Tuskegee University and Bishop Montgomery High School in Torrance, California.

Career Edit

Jones is best known for his portrayals of Laveinio in the dramatic film The Wood and Mike of the dramatic films Why Did I Get Married? and Why Did I Get Married Too?. He is also best known for his role as Bruce Van Exel, Amy Gray's court services officer on the CBS television series Judging Amy that aired from 1999 until May 2005.

In 2018, Jones was cast as Wade Grey on The Rookie.
