Trivia[]
- Nolan states he is following Professor Ryan in "my P.O.V.*, a black Tundra" in the stakeout-turned-shootout, despite driving a Nissan Titan throughout the season and especially in this episode. This is possibly a script oversight. [*P.O.V. = privately owned vehicle]
- Nolan also states that Prof. Ryan was driving a late model Nissan Sentra when calling in for backup, even though she is clearly driving a Lexus RX.
- "Zaddy", the word used by Tamara to describe Bradford, is a complimentary term for "a guy who's attractive and fashionable, with swag and sex appeal", according to the Urban Dictionary. [1]
- Doxxing is the act of publicly revealing previously private personal information about an individual or organization, usually through the Internet.[2]
- 1985 MOVE bombing refers to an incident in Philadelphia where the police department bombed a home occupied by a militant group, and the fire department let the subsequent fire burn out of control.[3]
- "Camden experiment" refers to the police reform in the city of Camden, New Jersey. The police was dismantled and a new and larger force was rebuilt.[4] [5]
- Although Larry Macer is dropped from the training program (in record setting time), he reappears in another law enforcement job (rail police) in "Backstabbers". He was required to undergo gun safety training and recertification to secure this position due to the incident shown in this episode.
Quotes[]
BRADFORD: There are three major differences between police and military, and if you want to be a cop instead of a soldier, you'll have to conquer all of them.
BARNES: Tell me.
BRADFORD: One, cops are expected to be proactive. You don't wait for orders. Two, you are no longer bound by military objectives. The actions you take are up to your discretion. And three, the people we come up against on the street, aren't enemy combatants. They're our fellow citizens.
