Lila Town is a recurring character on The Rookie. She is the daughter of Nyla Harper and Donovan Town. She is played by Carsyn Rose.
History[]
Season 2[]
She first appeared in "Warriors and Guardians", where it is revealed her parents are in the midst of a custody battle over her. Harper is fighting for shared custody for her, explaining she took part as T.O to be closer to her daughter.
In "Fallout", her mother risks legal consequences by picking up her daughter from school during a nuclear missile scare, Nolan realizes that Lila is the reason for Harper's choice to return to patrol and that she's given up everything to be with her daughter again.
In "The Overnight", Harper finally earned an overnight visit with her daughter but in a grocery store trip with her mother at about 8 years old, a former criminal from Nyla's undercover life attempted to kill Nyla in front of Lila, which caused major trauma to Lila. Donovan was angry but Lila reveals she was worried about her Harper who assured her she would be around.
In "Clean Cut", Harper requests that Grey write an early annual evaluation for her because a court hearing is coming up regarding the custody of her daughter. At the end of the episode, Grey is impressed with Harper, and promises he will write a positive evaluation of her.
By the end of season 2, Harper has regained shared custody of her daughter and partially credits Nolan's support for this.
Season 4[]
In "A.C.H.", she goes trick-or-treating with her parents.
As of "Backstabbers", she gains two stepsiblings, following her mother marrying James Murray.
In "Mother's Day", Lila spends time with her father and paternal grandmother Maris, upsetting Harper who looked forward to spending time with her. At the end, she and her grandmother come down to spend the remaining day with her and Maris expressed disappointment at Donovan's action. Lila also revealed that her father got a back rash out of nowhere.
Season 5[]
In "Labor Day", she gains a younger half-sibling Leah.
In "The Reckoning", she spends Halloween with her mother and stepfather who were preparing to go all out in a celebration in the new neighborhood. However, they were disappointed to be excluded from trick or treating or social events, with Harper thinking its her job as a cop that leaves them wary until Lila reveals its actually because a former friend's parents have been telling other parents their home was not safe because James hangs out with criminals, meaning his friends from the community center and rumors have spread at school. This shocked Harper and James who wanted to handle it, but Lila begs them not to. Much later, Jenny's house is revealed to have been toilet papered, and Lila is happy with the outcome.
