Liam Glasser is a recurring character on The Rookie. He is a serial killer who first appears in Season 7. He is portrayed by Seth Gabel.
Season 7[]
Glasser first appears in "Til Death" when he is apprehended by Nyla Harper in the vending machine room. Harper starts talking to him and she quickly assumes that he is the second serial killer that the LAPD is looking for. Glasser apprehends Harper later in the episode and she alerts him that the entire LAPD is watching him for any evidence of murder.
Glasser returns in "Wildfire" when he and his family are forced under mandatory evacuation, going to the community center run by James Murray. Officers John Nolan and Miles Penn are told to watch his every move, but, after a disturbance, they get distracted and Glasser leaves the center. He tells his wife that he is 'going to check on the warehouse' that he runs. It is later revealed that he is a serial killer and that he has a new victim. His son informs LAPD of his departure, while unknowingly relaying to his wife that the rumors over him are true. Four officers track down the location where he holds his new victim, and, after assaulting Nolan, Harper arrests him.
Glasser is mentioned in "Three Billboards"; Wesley reveals that Glasser, awaiting trial, used money to post ads on billboards, buses, taxis, and signs defaming his arresting officers Nolan, Harper, and Lopez. Wesley quickly deduced the smear campaign was meant to discredit their testimony and assumes his lawyer was in on it, while vowing to ensure the ads are taken down and the lawyer be disbarred.
Glasser appears in "A Deadly Secret". He is said to have been interviewed about Westview Psychiatric Hospital by Abigail Tierney. At the end, he admits that his father took him along to that hospital on business and he claims to have become a serial killer because of that.
