Officer Jan Janssen is a background character on The Rookie. He is played by Jan M. Janssen.
Bio[]
Jan first appears in action in "Plain Clothes Day" as Nolan plans a strategic entry at a motel. He is frequently seen in the background at the Mid-Wilshire Station, applauding when Nolan disarms and escapes a suspect in "Lockdown" (and also when Nolan tries to "shake out" his nerves before taking an exam). He drives the surveillance van when Pete Nolan is recruited to make an undersover drug buy in "A. C. H.". In "Crossfire", Jan has a couple of lines which unfortunately rub Detectives Lopez and Harper the wrong way, and he beats a hasty retreat as Harper says, "You better run."
Jan's body camera shows his name as "J. JANSSEN", as seen in 6x07.
