Henry Nolan is a guest character on The Rookie. He is played by Zayne Emory.
Biography[]
Henry Nolan is the son of John and Sarah Nolan, born after John dropped out of college to marry Sarah due to her unexpected pregnancy. In the pilot episode, John tells Stacy, a bank manager, that he and Sarah had agreed to stay together until Henry went to college. This is what Henry was pursuing at the beginning of the series.
Henry is engaged to Abigail, whom he met at college and whom he brings to meet his father in "Tough Love". Abigail drops out of college in Season Two, and in Season Three Henry tells his dad that he, too, has dropped out of college to take a job with a global charitable organization run by Ben McRee.
While Henry is in Los Angeles training for his new job, he passes out and is taken to the hospital, where he finds out that the surgery he had as a child has caused problems in adulthood. He has a choice between a less invasive procedure, which would have to be followed up with a major operation in five years, or open heart surgery to replace his failing heart valve. In spite of the prospect of a long recovery and giving up his new job, Henry decides to have the open heart surgery. At the end of "Brave Heart", Abigail, John, and Sarah are overjoyed to hear that the surgery went well and that Henry will make a full recovery.
Henry eventually gets to meet Bailey Nune, his dad's girlfriend, over FaceTime, in "Breakdown".
