Corey Harris is a minor character on The Rookie. He is revealed to be a cult leader. He is played by Frankie Muniz.
Biography[]
Harris is a former child actor, who once starred on a show called Paul's Place. His show was very popular, and he gained great recognition from it.
Later in life, Harris formed a cult following, calling himself "the prophet Jedidiah"; his followers appear in "Fallout", and one of them reappears in the episode where Harris is the main focus, "True Crime".
Later that night, he was hosting a live stream celebrating his good fortune of getting away with everything. However, in the midst of broadcasting, he is disturbed by a sound that continues and, believing it to be a follower, he tells them it's not funny, before he realizes an intruder was in the house. Scared out of his wits, he is reduced to hiding in a closet before calling the police for help and where to come. Unfortunately, the intruder finds him and hauls the screaming and pleading Harris off for torture.
Harris was ultimately killed by Ronald Sanchez, accomplice of a notorious serial killer, the Southland Stalker, who proceeded to mutilate Harris' corpse and who kept his eyes. As he called for help earlier, the police arrive and arrest Sanchez for the murder. It turns out Sanchez was angry at Harris for not giving him credit for the murders committed by the Southland Stalker. The cops proceeded to find pieces of Harris in the house and discovered his livestream was still on, meaning his viewers knew of his fate.
