Claire Ivey is a minor character on The Rookie. She was a serial robber and murderer who has evaded the LAPD for years.
History[]
During "Five Minutes", she was introduced while speeding and was pulled over by Officers John Nolan and Lucy Chen. Upon giving her name, Nolan ran it through the system and notified Sgt. Wade Grey who reveals Claire was a person of interest in a series of heists but was never arrested. Grey also states one of her heists, Angela Lopez failed to make the arrest stick in 2016 because a witness disappeared. Grey told Nolan to let Claire be on her way but warn her she is under surveillance if she does not get out of town. Claire correctly realized that the police officers received orders to tell her to leave the city, noting that there was the Getty Gala being held in the city. Indeed, Nolan remarked on her history but she implied that they would never catch her proceeded to leave. Both officers realize that Claire was very confident and looked forward to arresting her.
Nolan proceeded to carry out his duty of watching her until it was revealed that Claire was aware of his presence before she teased him that she would do something. At night, Nolan brought his girlfriend Bailey Nune to stakeout Claire. However, she once again revealed that she knew he was around and decided to embarrass him by telling Bailey about his life. To impede any chances of a robbery, LAPD placed a boot on her car but Claire rode by on a motorcycle. She taunted them on how she was always a step ahead. Later, Det. Nyla Harper and Officer Aaron Thorsen discover the body of celebrity stylist Michaela Faris, ended up confirming the theory Claire was up to something.
Claire's plan was to steal from the armored trucks that held priceless jewelry for the Getty Gala. They realized that she killed Leilani in order to obtain the schedule for the trucks to prepare an ambush. Just as Claire made her move, she was stopped by the efforts of LAPD under the orders of newly appointed Sgt. Tim Bradford. Claire attempted to escape but was caught after Nolan shot her in the shoulder, when fired at by her. She was in shambles at being defeated and admitted she underestimated Nolan. She begrudgingly surrendered and was handcuffed, crying out in pain at the roughness. Nolan apologized and told her she could look at planning a prison escape as her next heist, before hauling her off.
